Sarah and Peter

Sarah and Peter chose the beautiful Atlantica as the venue for their wedding, and they couldn't have asked for a better day on the beach! Sarah has been writing about her wedding plans on their website, sarah-n-peter, and has posted some their e-session and wedding images there as well.

I think Sarah gets the award for the most organized bride, and she even made the cake-topper! One of my favorite images is of her and her dad in the back of the church before the ceremony began; it is one of those great moments that will wind up on my website. Another favorite is when we were shooting some more formals as the sun set, and they got a little surprised by the changing tide!

Ava and Ed

Whew, now that I've gotten my album designs uploaded in time for holiday delivery, it's time to focus on my blog again!

Ava and Ed's wedding was one of the most interesting and fun events I've ever photographed. The ceremony and reception--at Farrington Manor-- was a wonderful example of blending traditions of two cultures--Ed is from Antigua and Ava is from Turkey. Beautiful steel drums serenaded the guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and a belly dancer entertained everyone near the end of the reception. Theirs is one album I can't wait to get started on!

Back East

Back home from a fantastic trip to New Mexico and Arizona! My stock site will have some new galleries added next week as I wrap up the editing from the road trip. I was in New York twice this week shooting some stock requests, and came upon this scene as I was walking in SoHo. What can I say... I love, love, love late afternoon light! I have two weddings this weekend, and am putting the finishing touches on a guest book for Sarah and Peter for their September wedding. Plus, doing the album design for Gina and Will, whose wedding was earlier this year. It's been a very busy summer so far, but I enjoy the variety of projects I'm working on and hope to break out my Holga for some film shots soon. Oh, and I almost forgot... I found a wonderful old Brownie camera, complete with the box, flash gun and flash cubes at an amazing place in Phoenicia, NY --Homer and Langley's Mystery Spot. And it still works! Another find was in NYC yesterday, when I spotted an old Kodak darkroom beaker. My darkroom days are over, but it will make a wonderful vase.

Heading West

I've been on a little trek through the Southwest shooting travel stock and getting in a little R&R. The weather here changes by the hour it seems, and this magnificent rainbow over Route 264 in Arizona appeared late this afternoon. I'll be posting some galleries on my editorial site, [Jersey Girl Stock Images](http://jerseygirlstockimages.com) over the next few days.

Road Trip
Genevieve and Peter

Genevieve and Peter's wedding yesterday was as spectacular as the sunny day. Genny made all the centerpieces and place cards herself, and they were truly remarkable. Each guest's name was hand-painted on pieces of bluestone, along with traditional Celtic symbols of unity and harmony. It made the perfect backdrop for a ring shot.

She also designed her own dress, with panels of lavender, her favorite color, on the bodice. Sprigs of lavender also adorned the tables, and guests received lavender seeds to take home and plant.

One of my favorite shots of the day was when we went to a nearby park for formals, and the flower girls were more than happy to skip across the bridge for me. The late afternoon light was perfect, and I just love when kids can be kids.

Michele and Jim E-session

Michele and Jim's e-session all came together when they said they loved the Black-eyed Susans in full bloom in the front yard. I love it when my subjects don't mind when I ask them to sit in the dirt!

My Favorite Albums

I am pleased to be able to offer some incredible albums from FINAO. The variety of cover materials and combinations is seemingly endless--the only limit is your imagination. I received one of my samples this week and just had to post a few images!

Jeannine and Pete's Wedding

Working with Jeannine and Pete on Saturday was such a pleasure. Their joy was shared by everyone in attendance, and it made for some wonderful memories.

Here are a few of my favorite images, beginning with the bridal party's reaction to a little commotion among Pete's nieces during the ceremony. Jeannine and her siblings wanted a "fun" shot during the formals, and no sooner had she said that, when her grandmother's veil was picked up in the breeze. The lavender centerpieces were the perfect choice for the lovely sun porch at Apple Ridge Country Club.

Their wedding gallery will be uploaded by the end of the week, so stayed tuned!

Mike and Laura's Wedding

I had another opportunity to work with my good friend and colleague, Kathleen Duxbury, at Mike and Laura's wedding on Saturday. One of the advantages of second-shooting is being able to really concentrate on emotions and shooting from alternate vantage points during key moments in the day. I have several favorite images from the day, but Laura's reaction after being handed the knife "took the cake."
